Team Cooking is a wonderful experience incorporating exotic flavours, new challenges and important team-builing opportunities for corporate groups, or simply an enjoyable and novel way to spend time with friends while soaking up the beautiful rural setting and a passionate dedication to quality cuisine characteristic of French Riviera.
In working towards your shared objectives your team members will work together under the expert and exhuberant guidance of your host, French chef Robert Marchesi. This course will require all to bring their culinary creativity to the fore, to rely on the strengths and knowledge of other team
members, and to contribute their own flair and ability in order to create the sumptuous three course meal that will be a highlight of this eventful day.
Your group will gather in a relaxed atmosphere and well appointed sitting rooms will provide an opportunity for discussion of the lessons learned during the course, business objectives to be focused on, or for further social development between team members.
Our team cooking course can be used as a great motivational tool for your staff, an important retreat in which to discuss strategic and operational options for the future, or simply to reward standout performance from key staff members.
The location and the facility:
Our beautiful Riviera Bed & Breakfast is a renovated 100 year old Queenslander set in bushland in the near Nerang, the Gateway to the Gold Coast Hinterland. This area can boast majestic trees, exotic plant life and abundant and colourful bird populations, many of which join us as we dine outdoors. This location is easily accessible from both Brisbane and the Gold Coast and yet secluded and peaceful. All accomodations are very comfortable and designed with classic French understatement and attention to detail.
The Event:
Your arrival at Riviera starts with a welcome drink and get together in the afternoon. Depending on group requirements the day will start either with an activity such as bushwalking or a beach visit, or group members can simply use this time to settle in, get comfortable and soak up the peaceful
atmosphere.
In the later afternoon Robert will hold an introduction lesson outlining the setup of the menu, the nutritional value of the foods to be prepared, and provide a range of tips on how to blend flavours and foods in order to experience the authentic French Provicial cuisine. After an easy and not so serious culinary pop quiz three teams will be selected. Each team will then need to work together on the preparation of one course of the meal.
During the preparation time Robert will spice up the atmosphere with culinary stories from his home country France and present a range of French wines for tasting with advice on how to select suitable wines to compliment the flavours the team members will soon experience.
As preparation and cooking are completed each group will serve the course they have prepared to the rest of the team and present the dish along with a wine they have selected using their newly acquired knowledge of Riviera cuisine and wine.
The team can now savour the fruits of their combined efforts in the form of a delicious three-course French Provincial menu and relax together for the rest of the evening on the beautiful deck surrounded by nature.
The following morning Robert will surprise the group with a French breakfast of Crepes, French Omelette, French bread and delicious homemade jams and preserves. During breakfast team members can recapture the highlights of the course before departing for home.
Rates for this unique team activity start from as little as $250 per person for a one-night stay and $350 for a two-night stay. (depending on group size) A minimum of 6 is required.
